Spotify Streaming Data Now Included In Billboards Canadian Hot 100 Chart

TORONTO, Canada (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Spotify’s streaming data is now included in Billboard’s Canadian Hot 100 chart, further enhancing the updated chart formula for the preeminent singles chart that includes digital download track sales, physical singles sales, radio airplay and On-demand streaming plays, all tracked by Nielsen.


Nielsen first started tracking Spotify’s Canadian activity when the streaming service first launched in Canada in October 2014. The first Canadian Hot 100 chart to include Spotify streaming data is on the Billboard site now at http://www.billboard.com/charts/canadian-hot-100.
