I want all this, Cody Rhodes reveals his personal conversation with Vince McMahon that led to

It’s almost been a year since Cody Rhodes shockingly left All Elite Wrestling last year. The wrestling world got turned on it’s head at that point in time when The American Nightmare decided to leave the company as an on-screen talent and Executive Vice President. As soon as Rhodes issued a public statement regarding this, everyone was left startled and they started wondering the next stop for Cody. And everyone knows what happened after that. The Prodigal Son returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38, to fulfill his destiny and finish the damn story.

However, do y’all know what Rhodes intended before making his impeding WWE comeback? That’s finally has been revealed in a mouth-watering interview of Cody Rhodes with Hot 97. In some sizzling stuff that would intrigue everyone, the former AEW EVP detailed his word-to-word conversation with Vince McMahon. The demand was simple enough. Rhodes made it crystal clear about the changes he’d love to have in WWE coming from AEW.

And that change was to absolutely change nothing. As many would’ve already figured out till now, Dusty’s baby boy wanted to keep his presentation and entrance theme untouched. Plus, he demanded to keep that Codyvator too. Barring the last one, WWE agreed upon everything. His elevator entrance was done for a couple of shows in the beginning, before it got scrapped due to production reasons.

“So, that’s, you know, he knew we really can’t change it at this point. This is what it is. And he said something really great that day. I was really, you know, I stood my ground. I said, ‘I don’t wanna change a thing about myself, including my song. I wanna have my elevator. I want all this.’ And he said something, he goes, ‘well, that’s what we’re buying. It’s not broke.’ And I thought, ‘that feels good.’ because I hadn’t figured it out when I was here the first time. Everything was broke. And that was a nice feeling.”

Cody Rhodes will main-event WrestleMania 39

It now stands here. After winning this year’s 30-Man Royal Rumble match, Cody Rhodes will headline the Showcase of the Immortals in Los Angeles. He’s currently slated to face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the marquee event. As been his story following the comeback last year, Rhodes is hellbent on winning that World Title and virtually bestow it upon his dad, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes.

With all the momentum by his side, it’s highly likely that the younger Rhodes brother will be the one to finally dethrone The Tribal Chief. For reference, Reigns has ruled the WWE Universe over the last near to 900 days as the Undisputed Champion. Someone has to stop an unhinged wrath of The Head of the Table. In just over a month from now, history will be waiting for The American Nightmare to attain his unfulfilled dream.
