Firefighters rescue and resuscitate cats during Rhode Island house fire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Providence firefighters responded to a house after 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Chief Derek M. Silva said crews worked quickly to contain and extinguish the basement fire.
Two cats were rescued and resuscitated by personnel.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
No residents were injured.
