And she said.!: Joyous Nestor Cortes popped the question after All-Star game to girlfriend
Nestor Cortes had one of the best days in his first All-Star game, an amazing day on the mound and something even better off the field. The left-handed pitcher recently took upon social media to share his new journey with girlfriend – Alondra G. Esteras Russy. Following his dominant outing in Tuesday night’s midsummer classic he proposed to his GF and she said “Yes”.
The 27-year-old pitcher Nestor Cortes appeared to pop the question at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Alondra G. Esteras Russy confirmed on her own social media that she didn’t turn the Yankees star down, writing on pics of her new ring, “Of course I said YES!”
Nestor Cortes posted, “All Star week made 2 of my dreams come true. Pitch in an all-star game. And propose to my best friend. With my parents along my side. I had to make us official. Through ups and downs, we manage to keep each other happy. I thank you for being by my side for every struggle I’ve had but also all the success. I hope there is more to come for both of us. I love you very much!”

Nestor Cortes proves to be impressive on and off the field
Nestor Cortes has been impressive in New York Yankees’ rotation this year, posting a 7-3 record, 2.63 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 99 strikeouts in 95.2 innings across 17 starts. Definitely, he has been majestic both on the mound and off the field. On his inclusion to the All-Star game, he said, “We had that conversation in spring training saying that he knows I can be an All-Star this year, I’ve never been a part of one, so I don’t know what to expect, so I think they’re gonna make it special, and it’s gonna be really cool to participate.”
Nestor Cortes will obviously be more focused after his engagement to add another ring to his collection, which can probably make his year even more memorable. The Yankees are first in the AL East with a 64-28 record and appear primed to make a deep playoff run.
Aaron Boone made the news of his inclusion even more memorable when he hid a camera to record his reason on the All-Star selection, “We got bigger fish to fry, but it’s time to go celebrate what you deserve and what you earned next week in L.A.,” Boone told Cortes. “The legend of Nestor Cortes rolls on to Hollywood.”
